Slow Fashion Season

Wherever you are in the world, whether it's snowing, the springtime flowers are blooming or its warm enough to leave home without a jacket, Slow Fashion Season is for everyone.

Slow Fashion Season is a crowd-acting campaign by CollAction.org. bringing together a community of consumers to inspire conscious fashion choices for the three month period of the 21st of June to 21st of September.

In 2019, 14,487 individuals from all across the globe took part in the seasonal campaign. This year Slow Fashion Season aims to engage 25.000 individuals to come together in raising awareness of fashion industry practices and the important role consumers play in driving change within both brands and policy.

Slow Fashion Season aspires to inform and guide consumers to consider their fashion purchasing decisions, to acknowledge the power of their choices in demanding fair, ethical and sustainable industry practices. By reflecting on purchases and considering the impact of fast fashion during this three month period, it is hoped the slow fashion campaign can inspire long-term conscious purchasing decisions for improved social and environmental impact by the fashion industry.

What does making conscious fashion choices mean?

Slow Fashion Season supports consumers in making the following conscious choices:

  • Avoid buying from fast fashion brands

  • Trade, upcycle or DIY clothing

  • Buy second-hand and vintage

  • Support sustainable, local, small fashion labels
